We had a good time in Norfolk wandering around downtown and getting good food while we waited for the wind to die down. Eventually it was time to set sail again and keep heading south. The shipyards in the morning sunlight were really pretty. I should have used my real camera!

Another annoying draw bridge
This is a $2mil Valhalla 55.
Sailing wing on wing dead downwind

We had some pretty high winds across the Albemarle Sound but luckily we were going downwind.  The boat is still holding up her end of the deal and I’m pretty happy with her! I’m not happy about how bone chillingly cold it is here in the chesapeake though.  Eventually we made it into the alligator river, which is more of a glorified drainage ditch but there were less waves.
