Shoes. The next item on the photo challenge is shoes.  Well, since I have a weekend at home and a few hours between now and meeting friends for pizza, why not just knock this one out? Once I started it was pretty fun to see what I could do differently with each pair. I did have to dust off all of my heels. Literally a layer of thick dust on them all. I need to go out more I guess. (or just hide them all in a box!)

Low key photo of my sassy boots. I took these while hiding in my closet and lit them up with my iphone because there are no flashlights in my house.

Dark and moody... just like I like it.

and now for something completely different. a light summery photo of some sandals I've worn twice. maybe.
and now for something completely different. a light summery photo of some sandals I’ve worn twice. maybe.  Added some color to this one with filters. Something I don’t normally mess with.  Light photos are difficult for me for some reason.  Probably because I would never paint something like this.
Wait, I own red shoes? Thought the red on red (ok, faded to pink...) was interesting.

Apparently I'm all about the straight lines today. Some leather heels that I liked against the freshly stained deck. (Thanks, dad!)

Like the play of light through the blinds. The warm and cool color contrast was an added bonus.

These are my work boots. I tried for a "vintage" photo. It didn't work and I hate it.
These are my work boots. I tried for a “vintage” photo. It didn’t work and I hate it.  It’s boring and blurry. Fail.
Some awesome heels I never wear because they're just slightly too small. The background is a snuggie I got from my good buddy Sam. This also started life as my first HDR photo. More practice is required as I ended up bumping the contrast back up to where I like it. I'm not sure HDR is going to be my thing.

Old cowboy boots I stole from dad sitting on the old '38 Plymouth parts I have in the backyard. At least the background is fitting for these.

Liked the textures here. and the diagonal lines.

Playing with shutter speed. This was 1/8 of a second and spinning the camera. Neat effect. I wanted some action for my running shoes but it's too hot for me to run around in front of the camera with the remote shutter. So this is all you're getting. I would like to play with intentional blur more. Maybe next time I go to a city of some kind. I think I focus too much on crispness. Time to change it up a bit!
