When we sold our catamaran and bought our house in Arkansas we had a blast exploring and biking but now it’s winter. And it’s cold. There was snow. We hate it. So…

We bought another boat!

This one is much smaller and simpler than our last boats. She’s only 39’ long but the main selling point was the ridiculously shallow draft of 2’4”!  We will be able to anchor in some absurd places that other boats won’t be able to reach!

Finally got a good shot in the sun
We don’t even need a ladder to get up onto her because she’s so low to the ground!
The cockpit varnish is beautiful but really slick when it’s wet!
The inside when we got onboard. It was full of sails and a full canvas cover.
After like 4 hours of cleaning and organizing.
Has a pretty nice galley too! Jason will enjoy that.
We brought a lot of shit with us. The truck was 100% full!
The canvas dodger and Bimini are in alright shape. I won’t have to redo them immediately.
It even came with a weird fake parrot.

Amazingly enough we bought this boat from the original owners (it’s a 2001!). They kept it under a cover in the winter and on a lift at their house in the summer in the Chesapeake. We don’t even think they ever slept on the boat! It looks like it’s had pretty minimal use. Of course it’s still a boat so we’ve already started tearing into it to fix and upgrade things! Onward to our next adventure!
