Jason and I went to Washington, NC specifically to pick up a rental car. Why do we need one? Well… when we were up in Annapolis we bought a truck! (Yay!) The dealership was awesome and nice enough to park it on their lot for a month to give us time to move the boat down south to the marina. So we needed the rental to get up there to pick it up! 🙂 Also, I’m always going to upgrade the rental car after this. I thought it would be great to get the cheapest one they had, a Chevy Spark. Which got great fuel economy, I’ll give it that, but was also sooooo tiny and terrifying on the highway. Either way, it was a fairly uneventful trip and we got home safe and sound with our truck! We ended up with a new GMC Sierra 1500. It was a better deal than the used trucks available… guess that’s what we get for “needing” a truck at the height of the market. It has the turbo 4 cylinder engine which, after reading about it, is a technological masterpiece! It makes more power than my first Chevy 2500 did and gets better fuel mileage than my dad’s little suv. I love it!

Yeah, it’s all white, but I love the black wheels and grill. It looks like a storm trooper.  Also, Jason and I never leave anything alone so it was pretty soon afterwards that we got a rack for the bed to carry the kayak and canoe!
