There is a very popular anchorage just off of oven rock where we hiked and snorkeled the cave. It’s pretty deep and popular with the deep draft sailboats but for the wind that we had it wouldn’t have been very comfortable! So… we anchored just behind the actual island by the airport where it’s so shallow you usually only see catamarans. Our boat draws 4’ and we anchored close to shore in just over 4’ of water. It was pleasantly sheltered from the wind and waves. The charts for this area show an obstruction in the water that’s labeled as a “jeep.”  Obviously you don’t want to anchor on top of that! However after reading up on it a bit more, the so called jeep is actually a crashed airplane. I’m fascinated with airplane wrecks so I had to take my camera and go snorkel it! (It’s in maaaaybe 5’ of water) There isn’t really much left but the landing gear and a tire are still visible.
