So far this year we’ve spent entirely too much time at Staniel Cay. Another wind storm was headed our way so we decided to go hide in a place that we’ve only seen on the charts: Prime Cay. The island itself is fairly inconvenient to get to, surrounded by shallow sand bars and not on the way to any of the more popular destinations. The anchorage is a deep hole nestled inside the island with a sand bar that’s 3’ deep so it’s only accessible at high tide. We made it in easily and got anchored in the soft sand. There’s a little lagoon at the end of the bay, a few little sandy beaches, some hiking trails, and a few rocks that Jason pulled some lobster from!

It gets shallow at low tide

Big piece of equipment washed up on the beach
I even found some conch shells
My new spot is laying on the boom! So comfy!
Dusters new spot is laying on my legs
Good solar today

Stone markers on the beach.
The lake trail
