After hanging out at Pipe Creek for so long we were really ready to move the boat and go do some exploring! We wanted to grab a mooring ball at Cambridge Cay where we stopped last year and did some excellent hiking and snorkeling but they were all taken. Just a little further north is O’brians Cay which has apparently just had a few mooring balls installed so we happily snagged one of those! Up this was are a few snorkeling spots: an airplane wreck, the caves at Rocky Dundas, and the Aquarium. The Aquarium is a very appropriately named boulder that’s teeming with coral and tropical fish.

We started our snorkel excursion at the airplane but as soon as I jumped into the water I realized we had drastically miscalculated slack tide. The current was so strong I couldn’t make any headway to even get out towards the plane! We shifted gears and decided to do a float snorkel with the dinghy and just drift to the aquarium!

Jason touched the sand!

The Aquarium was excellent as always and everyone had a fantastic time in the water!  The anchorage itself, though, had so much current that we were in the same position we were in at Pipe Creek where no one really wanted to play in the water. We spent one night here and then moved on.

This was a lot narrower than it looks!

Pretty boat
Another glorious Bahamas sunset!
