We stopped at Cambridge Cay in the Exuma Land and Sea Park on our way south. The water is crystal clear and fantastic but we didn’t really get off the boat and explore the island at all for some reason. This spot actually has a bit of elevation to it with a huge bluff and a large island in the bay across from the mooring field that made for a very interesting hike!

As usual the trail is marked with trash and debris
So many colors of water including the pink salt pond
One of the hidden beaches
View of the boats!
The island! Unfortunately can’t climb it unless you swim to it

We left on our hike with the sun up in the sky and no worries. However halfway through the hike (and of course as far from the boats as possible) we notice that a storm is rolling in and headed towards the mooring field.  There was even a waterspout that went right through the boats! It also figures that we left the hatches open… by the time we made it back, the boat was pretty soaked inside but otherwise unharmed!

His new favorite spot is beside the paddleboard!
