From Cambridge Cay we headed south to Pipe Creek, which was amazing but apparently so amazing I didn’t take a single photo of it somehow! Dangit! Excellent and calm place to anchor. It helps that only 3-5 boats will fit.

After pipe creek we ended up at the famous Staniel Cay. (Home of thunderball grotto and the original beach with pigs on it). This was one of the most populated anchorages we’ve stayed at so far. Many other boats anchored and quite a few mega yachts. However, as many people as were here, it didn’t feel as busy and crowded as I expected. So that’s nice.

I’m actually kind of scared of pigs so I didn’t really want to go to the beach. I’ve also heard that the pigs get fed and can be aggressive when they go up to beg for food and people get bit. So… we didn’t go! It was full of tour boats most of the day anyway!

We did, however, go into town to see it and also go get some groceries.

The blue store, didn’t have anything we needed
The pink store… nothing there either.
Isles is the place to go!
Well stocked!

One of our new friends on Vela had a birthday while we were all anchored at Staniel so we had a party! Jason smoked some ribs and everyone else brought stuff and we all partied on the beach and had a big bonfire!

Funny painted chair
Kara doing a celebratory headstand
Me and my happy kitty
We got some stone crab claws and ate them on the beach
Yacht with a slide and every floating toy available. Seriously?!?

Our friends got some cool shots of our boat leaving Warderick Wells so here’s a flashback.

Sails up!
