So given that the boat was previously owned by an older Canadian couple and not cleaned out before it was sold, we found some interesting/weird/useful stuff while cleaning!

CANDLES? On a boat? No thanks, get that shit outta here!
The most accurate plaque. I’m installing this somewhere as a reminder of what I’ve gotten myself into!
Kind of a neat roll up floppy rubber keyboard. But unfortunately musty and gross. I had to toss it.
The bottom of this caulk exploded and glued itself to the wood. It took all my strength to pry it off.
I 90’s wants it’s wetsuit back.
Score! Found some large spools of UV-stable industrial thread! I’ll definitely use this!
Finding this guy was a hoot!
What now? I kept this just to read on the boat when we’re bored. I may need therapy, but not necessarily this…
An original iphone 3g?!?!?!??!
Just kidding.. it’s like $4 in pennies.
These people definitely had grandkids on the boat, because we found a few half finished coloring books. We also found this paint by number canvas! It was given to Jason’s Sister’s kids.
This tub of FSR should be blue… that means this is yearrrrssssss old.
this is a zinc anode that can be tossed in the water. We didn’t keep it.
mmmmm dry rotted stethoscope.
I kept the bag tho. this is kind neat.
An old telephone for the SSB radio that we’re removing. I really wanted to hook my iphoneX to it because ergonomics.
so so so many cleaning supplies. This is why you have an inventory… so you don’t have 5 tubs of teak cleaner…
This cheap and hideous mesh storage thing screwed into the nice mahogany veneer on the bulkhead. Meh.
An example of what all of the storage looked like before I dug everything out of it.
Some old electronic crap we’re not going to use.
So much teak cleaner. I guess Ill use it eventually.
Ash tray from St. Martin. Good place to toss change.
Jason has wanted a sextant for a while now and we found one on the boat! That saves us $100!

This was actually more fun than it sounds, going through all the stuff. We just had no idea what we would find in each little cubby.  As you can see we found some interesting stuff, but there was also a lot of useful stuff squirreled away.  We found a bunch of spare oil filters, water pump, engine parts, etc that we definitely kept! I also learned just HOW MUCH storage this boat has… Currently we’re packing up a 5×8 trailer with all of our possessions in the world to move down there.  I’m not at all worried about finding room for everything on the boat!
