Our friend Ian came up to visit us on his way to Canada to photograph the seals out in the islands.  He wanted to practice some composition techniques, so we combined a photo walk with a camping trip for maximum efficiency!  I heard about Deer Park on one of my photography facebook groups, so we decided to give it a try before the road is snowed in for the season.  It’s WAY up in the mountains by Hurricane Ridge and was an awesome spot!

There were also a ton of these cute little birds. They were very curious about what we were up to and kept flittering from branch to branch.  Shooting birds is hard, but addicting. I wish I had been in the right settings to get more pictures before they all flew away!
