The subject of this week’s photo challenge is what makes you smile.  It would take up an exorbitantly large amount of bandwidth and time for me to take photos of all the stuff in my life that makes me happy and then upload it.  So here’s a small sampling of the things I saw this week that amused me.

But first: a recap of the challenge itself.

This is a wind chime I installed out in the backyard where I planted my Raspberries… It’s been there for a year or two now and is tangled as all hell, but it looks like sea glass and I like it. Also I haven’t killed my Rosemary plant. That makes me happy because Rosemary is delicious.

Every weekend Jason makes me breakfast. I love breakfast.

My friend Jessica found a tiny green frog. I love frogs. and my friend.

I don’t love bees… but I was happy that I got a picture of one. This is like my third photo of an insect ever. So I consider that a success…

I feel like now would be a good time to point out the main reason I’m smiling this week! We are the proud new owners of 2.5 acres out in the country! Finally moving out of our neighborhood and into the forest where we really wanted to be.  Closed this morning and then met friends for coffee! Overall it’s been a pretty good day! So, here’s 13192 Shady Glen.

So yeah! I should be posting updates on what we’re up to with the land and getting it ready for a house and all that fun jazz! I’m possibly more excited about getting to build a treehouse right now though. You can force me to be a responsible adult, but you can’t make me like it! 😉

Another thing that always makes me smile is giving Duster catnip.
