I’ve been a little busy with life lately, however Rashell and I finally found the time to go do our first hike of the season: Lake Lena.  She advertised this as an easy hike, but it was over 7 miles! I suppose it wasn’t that bad, but Rashell is like a foot taller than me.  I don’t think there’s a dignified way to “scamper.”  I didn’t die and the view was spectacular. I also forgot to bring real food and Rashell saved me with half of a sandwich.  #realfriendssharefood

Path through the rocks. I bet this has water over it sometimes.

Another shot of the bridge. I liked it!

Such an adventurey hiker person. (PS: that’s me)

Different view of fern from above
Had my camera in the dirt for this one.

asparagus?

Rashell called these “fernicles”
I like to shove my camera where it shouldn’t go.. like 0.5″ above the waterline…
waterfall
Flowing out to the lake

This was the “bridge” to the other bank. um…no.
Stop carving trees you neanderthals!

Puffy green trees

More waterfalls
I wish I had brought my tripod now.

Huge rock ledge that people apparently climb sometimes
Sometimes strong overhead lighting works out just fine!
