As I mentioned in my last post, I’m in Guam for work.  Yes, I know… life is hard. 😉 We stayed at a different hotel this time that was further up in Tumon Bay and a little ways away from the main drag.  As such, I didn’t really get out and explore as much as I usually do so I only got a few photos of Guam that weren’t epic sunsets.

Jessica and I went snorkeling one day after work.  Since it was easter weekend, the main beach we usually go to was packed with people.  After a few minutes of deliberation we bailed and drove further down the road to another beach we didn’t know existed.  Apparently no one else does either because it was pretty much deserted.  We had our little spot to ourselves and spent a fun couple of hours roasting in the tropical sun and looking at all the tiny fish that live around the corals.  (I did eventually buy one of those tropical fish identification charts…) I keep forgetting that I have a gopro that I can bring that’s small, portable, and waterproof.  So I didn’t get a single photo of this adventure!

Another random thing that we did on this trip was to make a pilgrimage up the street to the “World’s Largest K-Mart.”  I know what you’re thinking here, there’s still a K-mart in existence somewhere? Didn’t they go out of business like 15 years ago? Well, in most of America, yes they did.  However this one is still alive and kicking in Guam and is pretty much the only place to shop on the island.  I didn’t see a Wal-Mart anywhere!  It has a gigantic swimsuit and tropical apparel section, which is pretty obvious.  I even bought a new bikini…and since it’s a K-mart the whole thing was less than $20! Score! Overall, the novelty of this being the world’s largest is overshadowed by the fact that it’s literally just a normal large K-mart and not really that spectacular.  But now we can say that we’ve been to it!
