A few weeks ago Jason’s family was up visiting from Missouri so we all piled in the truck and headed up to Port Townsend for the day.  Historic down town Port Townsend reminds me of the old towns in Oklahoma.  Both regions are mostly brick with decorative details built in the later 1800’s which I find to be a very interesting coincidence.  After briefly exploring the beach and hunting for sea glass, we wandered around downtown to look at the diverse array of shops and restaurants.  Waterfront pizza is a local hole in the wall place that we originally found by obsessively following the smell of the pizza in from the street. Well worth the trip out here just for the food! Port Townsend is a blast in the summer with street performers and farmer’s markets.  Not bad for an hour away from home!
