These photo challenges are always harder than I think they’re going to be.  I tend to forget that I work 10 hour days and really only have the weekends to shoot.  Except that I’m usually out doing stuff on weekends… So I made it a point during my walk around Seattle to the Boat Show last Monday to take some photos that fit this weeks’ theme: “Time”.  I didn’t want to do a still life of a pocket watch on my dining room table, because I’ve done that shot before.  I want to experiment with slow shutter speeds more, so I gave a little bit of thought to that this time around.  I think I have a pretty good showing this week.

One of my favorite things is being up and about in urban areas before shops are open and tourists are clogging everything up.  Pike place market was almost deserted and shops were still setting up for the day.

For these next shots I slowed the shutter speed down a bit and moved the camera or zoomed in while the shutter was doing its thing. Actually a ton of fun! I need to go back to Seattle at night sometime and experiment with it a bit more!
