Further along the old Lassen Emigrant trail we came across willow hot springs.  Some of the springs along this route have been no more than glorified mud puddles (remember how I said this trail wasn’t actually a good idea and a lot of people died on it?) but this one was actually pretty nice!  There’s also a huge weeping willow tree at the spring and a lot of other plants and interesting rock formations.
