After Jason and I explored the inside of the 7 keyhole slot canyon outside Mesquite, Nevada, we awkwardly scrambled through loose rocks and tree roots to climb to the top of the canyon walls. If we hadn’t just been in the slot canyon I wouldn’t have believed it was there because it just disappeared in the expanse of red rocks. Who knows how many other amazing things are just out there in the rocks waiting to be discovered?

The tree we climbed up past

Its just a sea of red rocks

I want to go hike allllll of this!

The truck is over there somewhere
There are a lot of smaller cracks in the rocks all over the formation
The recent rain gave me reflections to play with

We could have camped here all week…

Outside the canyon entrance
petroglyphs on the wall

So many roads
the slot canyon is on the right. somewhere.

This was an epic place to explore.  We only saw a few parts of it. I would love to come back and spend the night here and really be able to get a few miles away back into the rocks and see what’s there!
