Towards the end of our day, we ended up in Gastown, Vancouver.  There’s a gaslamp district in San Diego as well, so I wonder if they’re all built in the same time period.  One of the most noteworthy stops here in gastown is the steam powered clock.  It’s only of only a handful in the world. I assumed it was vintage steampunk goodness, but apparently it was built in 1977!

It does a thing every half hour or something.

Also, this was peoplewatching heaven.  We stood by the railing and tried to get panning shots of cars and bicycles as they went by.  Sanje made a friend and the guy really wanted his picture taken! He showed us a fun location and let us all get his photo!
