I love rocks so when Jason and I found a little state park just outside Las Cruces, NM called “City of Rocks” I was immediately intrigued! We drove out there and immediately took a side road to see the view! From above it just looks like a collection of large boulders in the middle of a field below the mountains, which is exactly what it is! But once we got up close the boulders were gigantic and this place was way way cooler than I thought it would be.
We usually don’t care at all about campgrounds because they’re usually just a basic flat place to park gigantic campers but this place was different. All of the campsites were nestled in between the gigantic boulders and were private and interesting. It would be a super cool place to camp someday! We did a little hike through the middle to explore.
