Since Jason and I are leaving Florida for our 2 month road trip across the country in a few days, I took some time to detail up the outside of the 4Runner and get a fresh coat of protective wax on her! I did the entire car with clay bar and then did my wax. I changed things up a little bit… instead of my usual Meguiers Gold Class, I used Collinite. When we buffed the hull of the sailboat we used a 2 step process of collinite to polish and wax the gelcoat and I was really happy with how it came out. Last time we were at West Marine I picked up a bottle of Collinite 845 Insulator wax. It’s on of their most durable waxes and was originally designed for actual power line insulators. It went on very liquidy, but buffed out to a really nice shine! Next time I’ll use the power tools for buffing!
