Due to being awesome at our jobs and finishing most of our work by friday, the team and I had the full weekend off!  There’s not a ton of stuff to do on the island, but there is a half day tour that leaves from base and heads up through the island to the old coconut plantation.  I think I remember it was something like a whopping $4. (might have been $2… now I know why the per diem payout for this location was so cheap. there’s literally nothing to buy.)  The first stop on the bus was a place called turtle cove. It’s located at the southern end of the island and it home to hawksbill and green turtles.  We saw quite a few milling around in the shallow water.

Seriously, don't touch the turtles.

Random waste. Wonder what they used to be.
