I’ve managed to finagle my way onto 2 work trips to japan this year. A few weeks ago I was in Sasebo and this time I got to go to Yokosuka for 2 weeks. We barely dodged a hurricane and I got to experience my first earthquake. Thought I was crazy in the morning because my coworkers were on the ground floor enjoying some tasty beverages and might not have noticed if the building had fallen down. Either way, most exciting trip to date! I brought my camera with me pretty much everywhere so I was sure to look like a complete tourist. Luckily I left my fanny-pack at home so I did manage to get people to go to dinner with me. Speaking of dinner, the food here is fantastic. I enjoyed just wandering around Yokosuka taking pictures of whatever I wanted and finding Christmas presents for everyone on my list. I think I did a pretty good job of squeezing a vacation in between all the work I had to do. 😉
