When I first met Jason he had a dark green Jeep wrangler in the middle of getting torn apart for some reason or another. (Maybe new suspension? it was not the pinnacle of reliability…) So I suppose I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Jeeps. (and Jason I suppose). A few months ago we decided to trade in our fullsize truck for something smaller and more versatile.  After going through the many spreadsheets and calculations required by a household of two engineers for a decision of this magnitude we decided on the new Jeep Renegade.  However, the model we wanted wasn’t in stock anywhere, the price was marked up accordingly, and the color we wanted wasn’t going to be made in that model for an undisclosed amount of time.  Great… nevermind then… However I noticed that they had literally like 2 whole rows of Cherokees just sitting there that I figured they’d probably make us a good deal to take one off their hands… and that’s exactly what happened.  So, behold our new Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk in black and orange. (Apparently we have a theme going.)

The color is "Mango Tango". It's pretty obnoxious.

The hitch is mounted pretty high so stuff doesn't drag the ground.

This is her first "offroading" session. We didn't push it because we had the bikes on the back.

I, personally, really like the narrow headlights.

Sweet little rig, even if we do hate the 9 speed transmission.

Still sorting through all my photos from our weekend in Oregon, but I thought the Jeep deserved her own post!
