Woke up this morning to fog and a thick layer of clouds.  Which was entirely what I expected given the dismal weather forecast for the day, but for a brief period (literally long enough for me to get my camera and shoot it!) the sun came out for a very interesting sunrise.

Also, over a year ago I believe, Jason bought my mom an orchid.  This poor little plant had the misfortune of having its new home be my kitchen window sill.  That very spot has seen a lot of flora death over the years… however, let it be known that *I* have kept a delicate little orchid alive for over a year and that it’s actually blooming! SCORE!

That photo was really only for photo evidence of my lack of failure. 😉
