It was a hot afternoon so the parents were floating behind the boat while Jason and I swam around. I went out to check the anchor and saw a huge stingray underneath the boat. We watched it for a while but it seemed like it was going to stick around so I quickly got out and grabbed my camera. I shot from above for a while and then got brave and swam down closer to it. It seemed to find that interesting and swam closer to me to check me out before veering off for another graceful circle. We continued like this for a while until suddenly it just takes off and disappears. At that point Jason spots the problem: a big bull shark! We all clamor out of the water (some more graceful than others!) and I spend the rest of the evening working on my photos!

It went and got a smaller friend for a while! That one wasn’t as brave.

That’s a big shark!
