I’ve been really enjoying shooting portraits with my model friends, so when Jason and I are out exploring the desert in Nevada I can’t help but scout out awesome locations for photoshoots! The problem is that all of my models are in Washington state and I don’t know anyone in Nevada yet…  Not being one to just give up, I decided that I, as a girl, could just pose myself and have Jason take the pictures! So… that’s what I did!  Thanks to Amazon for the fancy dress and the wig. (Ironically, the wig I picked was the same exact hair that I had in college so that was a little weird for both of us)

Our first location was the old stone dam out in Gold Butte National Monument.

There were a lot of rock formations around the dam, so we stopped to play in those as well!

We decided to move on and find some different rock formations and hopefully some of the big joshua trees! It was hard trying to pose and make my face look nice while dealing with wearing a wig (it’s been a long time since I’ve had long hair…)…. and also trying to direct Jason to get the shot that I see in my mind.  He’s a pretty solid photographer in his own right, but not quite a creative and quirky as I am. 😉
