Jason and I drove into town yesterday and on our way back home noticed a huge plume of smoke rising from the nearby mountain range!  I know the entire world is on fire right now, but this is the first forest fire and we have actually seen.  Luckily it’s pretty small and they should have it put out fairly quickly.  We waited until sunset and drove up on top of the mesa at the edge of Mesquite to watch it for a while and take pictures. It’s on the opposite side of the ridge from town so we could really only see the edges of it and a faint glow.
