The paint on Peregrine is in pretty rough shape.  When you run your finger down it it comes back covered in white chalk.  Gross.  Not shiny AT ALL.  While digging around I came across some Collinite fiberglass cleaner and wax.  We’re kind of in between projects waiting on parts to come in and I wanted to work on the boat but, like, not do anything involved or start anything else! So what did I do? Lets get the dual action polisher out and try to bring this paint back to life!

Oh! Well it looks like it’s working!
That’s a distinct difference.

Jason had to run down to St. Augustine to pick up some parts, so I just kept going.  This boat is a lot bigger than it looks when you have to touch every inch of the hull!

Halfway done!

I honestly didn’t think it would make this big of a difference! I assumed we would be looking to paint the boat at some point, but I think it can be saved! She almost looks like a boat that someone loves!

Close up of the paint blemishes. Most buffed out.

It took about 10 hours in total to finish HALF of the boat, but damn that half looks good!

Both Jason and I are going to sleep awesome tonight and our boat looks amazing! I can’t wait to do the other side and the topsides!
