I know it’s been a few days without a camper update.  I’ve been slowly working my way through the windows and sewing the pieces together.  The zippers on the first 3 windows went just fine, but on the 4th one (and, of course, the one that will be most visible and the one I wanted to look the best) the needle just wasn’t having any more of my shit.  I ended up breaking one on the first end of the zipper and then knocking the tip off of the needle on the second one.

Gonna need some pliers to pull that out.
…and now the corner is all bunched up and ugly.
That didn’t end up nearly as flat and pretty as I wanted. Dangit!

Now we come to the hard part… attaching all of these pieces together.

This entire hallway is mine…

The hard part here is rolling up the end tight enough that it fits through the arm of the sewing machine so I can actually sew it… I have almost 30′ of fabric in total.

One end gets rolled tight to go into the machine and the other end gets rolled just to get it out of the way and keep it on the table!
All the pieces sewn together!

The above picture has basting tape on one seam.  Well, I have plans to make an insulation layer for cold weather camping (which we do a lot of!). The easiest way to attach stuff like that is velcro.. and I completely forgot that I was going to do it.  Luckily, I remembered before we went out and started installing the canvas!

My back hurts now after having to lean over awkwardly to hold the fabric and keep it feeding straight, but the canvas is done and ready to install!!

I remembered to use the soft side of the velcro on the canvas.
I had to take a panorama to get it all in!

Next step? INSTALLATION!!!! 😮
