Due to logistics and some bonus time off work, we ended up in Tahiti for a full week. However, the main thing we had planned for this trip was chartering a 41′ catamaran sailboat. We had to say goodbye to our lovely little mountain cabin on Tahiti and take a small flight to the island of Raiatea. Our boat was located in the town of Uturoa.
Here’s a fun link to the boat and all of it’s spec’s on the Dream Yacht Charter website!
Jason and I had been hankering to try out a catamaran for a while. They are more stable, don’t rock at anchor and don’t heel over underway. Sounds like a dream, right? Cliffsnotes: we ended up deciding that a catamaran wasn’t for us due to other factors too numerous to list on a blog where I’m pretty sure no one cares anyway.
The boat itself was a Catana 41. She had 4 cabins with 2 heads and a really bitchin’ outdoor hang out area with two swim steps. (The galley was utter crap)

Let it be known that these photos aren’t in chronological order. I just want you guys to see the boat and some of our shenanigans!

Here are some photos shamelessly stolen off the internet that show the boat when it’s not been chartered for years and has our crap thrown all over it!
