We finally rolled into Reno at 9:30 at night and tucked into our cozy hotel room after a pretty epic (and necessary!) shower. The next morning we were up fairly early and began researching places to purchase a tire to replace the one that we broke the day before on the trail. One thing that we hadn’t realized was that Reno is home to multiple offroad/motorsports/etc companies such as Summit racing, 4 wheel parts, and….. TIRE RACK! Yeah, the same tire rack that we usually order tires from anyway has a gigantic warehouse right outside Reno! We decided to just drive out there and hope for the best. This turned out to be a good decision since they had our tire available (and a new spare because we’re not doing that again!) and loaded into the camper in under an hour. While Jason was dealing with the tires I was across the street taking pictures of the wild horses (!!!!) in the field across from Tire Rack. (I shit you not!)
Overall the tire situation was pretty easily resolved. I’m super pleased with the selection and help that we got in Reno. Tire Rack and Discount Tire really hooked us up. They will get our business again! We were back in business and ready to head back out into the desert to finish our road trip!
