Today was an exciting day.  We got up early and met one of the local guys at a random bay in our dinghies to get gas and diesel fuel from barrels out of the back of his truck.

After dropping our fuel back off at the boats we all met up and went into town because today is *mail boat day*! Theoretically there should be groceries. We didn’t plan on having anything available but fresh milk and bread is always nice.  Turns out that there wasn’t anything to buy but we did have a nice time exploring the settlement.  This area really got destroyed by a hurricane a while ago and hasn’t really ever fully recovered but the locals seem to be doing just fine!

One totally random thing about this island is that there’s a guy who breeds fancy show pigeons.  He’s got a few large coops full of birds with different colors and long feathers.

On the way home a few of us wandered over to a nearby hill where a small plane had crashed. We’re pretty sure it was a drug dealer because the tail numbers don’t match and they presumably tried to fly out of the tiny airport at night right into the side of the cliff.  I like exploring old planes, but this one was a little too recent. Yikes.

We’ve been up to a lot here in the ragged islands.  From getting a ton of video content of my mermaid adventures, to dinner on our friends’ boats, to hiking and playing in the water!
