As you can imagine, there is quite a difference in climate between the Bahamas and Arkansas winter during a cold snap. We didn’t bring much on the boat in the way of warm clothes so when we arrived home at night and walked outside we just about died. Many thanks to our friend Beth who picked us up with the heat in the car cranked to full blast!
Luckily the super cold weather was over that night and the rest of our trip was pretty pleasant! It started with a drive with Elizabeth to go dig for smoky quartz in eastern Arkansas!
The only downside is that now I have a big ole bucket of rocks but we’re only here for a week so I can’t do anything with them yet!
The next thing we did was celebrate my birthday! We had a few friends over and Jason got me this adorable mermaid cake! 🙂
Next up was meeting some of my mermaid pod for a birthday swim at the Jones center in Rogers!
The last random thing we did was take advantage of end of model year clearance sales and trade mom’s little car in on a little Ford Ranger! It has the 2.7L engine so it really scoots and is going to be WAY more useful than the little car was!
