We said goodbye to our friend Caroline in Fort Pierce, headed out the inlet, and sailed overnight in the ocean down to Key Biscayne. It was a super pleasant and calm sail. We managed to find a place to anchor inside the harbor at Key Biscayne when we arrived. Cruisers are cheap and it costs money to stay in there, but the protection from weather and assholes in powerboats is worth the cost for sure! I really like Key Biscayne. It’s an easy and pleasant walk into town, there’s a good grocery store, and a truly fantastic little cafe where I got a salmon bagel and a latte drizzled with nutella.
