We had some “craigslist business” to attend to up in Issaquah today. I’ve been through there a few times and stopped for dinner and whatnot but never had the time (or my camera…) to wander around downtown and explore a bit. Turns out, the old part of downtown is actually a LOT smaller than I thought it would be. So my desired hours of wandering around was more of a 30 minute walk down the street with a stop at a BBQ joint for lunch. Honestly a bit anticlimactic. The motorcycle store was even closed because it was Monday. Dangit.

Go to Stan’s BBQ because seriously… the best beef brisket ever. and I grew up in the midwest where they take beef pretty serious. The sauce had a hint of chili powder in it. Super tasty. Unfortunately, that and the commercial shopping opportunities are about the only draw to Issaquah. Usually I can at least find a few interesting things wherever I go (that includes Gig Harbor like 10 minutes down the road) but I wasn’t really feeling it this time. Ohwell, next weekend’s plans are shaping up to be pretty epic!
