One fact that every tour guide kept repeating was the extreme biodiversity of Costa Rica and how many different types of climates are present in such a small country.  We left the middle, rocky part and headed north into the mountainous, lush cloud forest region of Monteverde.  Our accommodations for the night were at Hotel Belmar. This place is absolutely gorgeous with every surface covered in beautifully finished wood and windows that look out over the forest to the Gulf of Nicoya.  Hotel Belmar is definitely one of the most relaxing and beautiful places I’ve ever stayed.  I could have just relaxed here for another few months. (boy, wouldn’t that be nice?) The food was outstanding and they even have a yoga studio that I was, ironically, too lazy to take advantage of.  They also offer room service coffee, so I ordered myself a pair of coffees and sat out on the patio editing my photos and relaxing.  Exactly what I wanted it to be! (both coffees were for me since Jason doesn’t like coffee.  This always works out in my favor!)
