Biking the Burr Trail

Our family vacation this year was a road biking trip through southern Utah. After an unfortunate incident with an inattentive driver and a large chunk of rubber, our little Mini Cooper pulled through and we made it to our starting point of St. George, Utah.

So sad.

A long shuttle ride later and we were all set up with new Trek Domane 5.9 road bikes. (they’re awesome. I may be sold on the electronic shifters…) The first ride of the trip was along the Burr trail. It was a gorgeous river lined route through a canyon that ended with an amazing view.

Road runs right through the canyon. This was a killer hill and I destroyed it. Was quite pleased with myself.

A great start to a week full of bicycling in epic locations and eating back my exercise calories! 😉
