For some reason I really enjoy using oddball camera lenses. The weirder the better. So for a long time I’ve had my eye on the 50mm F0.95 lens from Mitakon. At an F-stop of 0.95 there’s only going to be a tiny sliver of something in focus and it’s a manual focus lens so, honestly, it’s probably mostly unusable…but I had to have it anyway! Bekah and I planned another photoshoot and headed back to Tanyard Creek Park because it’s just a convenient and beautiful place to shoot. Nothing is ever the same twice so I have no qualms about reusing locations like that. Either way, we did some shots with my normal favorite, the Sony 85mm F1.8, and then I busted out my new lens just to see what would happen. It turns out that in the right conditions, this thing is outright magical!
