The floor of our boat is pretty rough looking due to water damage and cracked varnish. We tried to repair a small part of it, but didn’t deem it worth the excessive amount of time it would take to really fix it. Sooooo that left me one option.. which was to buy a cheap rug on the internet and cut it to fit the boat thereby hiding my ugly flooring…

it was pretty hard to lay it all out and cut with no floor space at all
sharpie

I bought a nice hot knife to use and I had the hope that it would just cut right through the rug, but no luck. I ended up having to cut the rug first and then melt the edges to keep it from fraying.  A little more work, but it got the job done!

I may end up having to add binding to the edges because it’s not that smooth, but I’m really happy with how nicely it fits (and hides the floor!).
