We have an appointment for the inspection of this thing on the 20th so we had to make sure that we could actually fit it into the truck with the lift that we hadn’t quite finished yet! Jason spent some time bolting on the second winch, setting up the cables, and figuring out how to get the back to hook up.  Once he figured that out, we decided that there was no time like the present to try to lift this thing up.  We have no idea how much it weighs at this point, and it was pretty nerve-wracking winding the winches up for the first time and having our camper dangling 3′ in the air unsupported.  But it worked!!! It’s a little heavy on the Port side due to the battery so Jason had to keep walking around over there and leveling the camper back out, but otherwise it was fairly uneventful.  The camper fits the truck like a glove! Maybe 1/4″ over the bedrails and a few inches over the roof.  It doesn’t even stick out past the factory fender flares.  I hate the campers that just look huge and have wide, sharp edges to get caught on trees and stuff.  This shouldn’t have any of those problems!

The truck looks kinda cool without the tailgate! I need to relocate our backup camera!
It fits!!!
The gray looks pretty good against our silver truck
She’s a pretty aggressive lookin girl!
Profile shot. Shouldn’t have any trouble with drive-thru windows.
Down in the street!

Let me just say that I’m SUUUPER pumped about how awesome this looks!!! While we were down in front of the house we had to show it off to our neighbors since they’ve had to listen to us use power tools every weekend all summer long.  They were pretty impressed!  We also went ahead and popped up the canvas just to see what it looked like in the truck!

It’s tall enough to stand in for sure!

Canvas isn’t done yet on that back part! We’re getting to it!

Boom!
Selfie with the camper on its first ride around the neighborhood!

Also, since it’s Labor Day, here’s a gratuitous pic of Jason’s smoked ribs because my life is awesome. 😉

7 hour wait, but totally worth it!
