We unintentionally took a few days off of working on the camper.  The smoke from the wildfires up here is still stifling and we didn’t think it was a good idea to spend a lot of time outside.

This is gross…

I did finally get around to ordering a power inverter so I can run my coffee pot, but it ended up being too big to mount in the spot we had picked out so I had to mail it back and order another one.  Hopefully by the weekend I can have that put in.

The biggest thing we got done today is install the LED lights in the camper! We ordered 2 rolls of flexible LED “tape”.  It was super easy to install and we finally got to hook something up to the switch panel!

It’s rubbery and flexible. Not what I expected at all!
In place
Not very bright during the day
Pushing the button for the first time
The wires will eventually be hidden in a sleeve up the canvas
Getting a little brighter as it gets darker, but still slightly purple
It should be sufficiently bright inside! Even more than it looks in the photo!

I would consider that a success!  The wiring is so close to being done now!

I did work on a few small items today as well.  We test fit the floor for the dinette the other day and realized that the board was super warped.  I added another piece of wood on the inside of the water tank area so we can screw the floor down.  Didn’t get any pictures of it though!  I also added reinforcement to the underside of my seat.  I thought it would be cool to use the thin plywood, but underestimated how heavy I am.  This should fix the sad creaking noise it made when I sat on it!

It needs to be painted, but problem solved!
