We spent literally all morning out running errands and getting the materials we need to continue working on the camper so most of today was wasted.  I find that the most frustrating thing ever. Just sitting in the car driving around and then running in someplace to spend money.  I guess it has to be done, but still.

Once we finally made it home, I sanded the filler that we put on the shell yesterday while Jason sanded the underside of the roof so we can put in some stiffeners.  The roof ended up being a little more flexible than we really wanted, so that’s got to be fixed.  As an added bonus, a lot of the super sharp edges are now sanded off and the roof is a lot less dangerous to handle!

Sanded!
like real expensive bondo….
There’s Jason in the back

One of the things we picked up today was roll on DIY truck bedliner.  We actually beat the crap out of the lower part of the camper just moving it in and out of the shed, so we decided to apply bedliner to the lower surfaces for durability.

All taped up and ready to go
First coat down!
Now to dry!

So while the bedliner is drying, we went back out to the garage to work on the stiffeners for the roof. Jason made them super fancy with nice radius edges.  Pretty much exactly what I wanted.

That should fix the roof flex…
This is why I never get to work out anymore.
This is not our cat!

Tomorrow should be a super productive day as long as the bed liner cures overnight and we can flip the camper back over.  I have ton of stuff I need to do inside the shell that I would like to get started on.  I’m also hoping to make some solid progress on the roof! I predict some more fiberglass work in my future, though.
